People are saying that the iPad will change the world.
This post states unequivocally exactly what I have been saying for year. IT WONT!, It can’t. In fact No new technological “gadget” can change the world. Only people can. The iPad is only a tool, and in fact it is mostly a useless tool since it does not do what YOU want it to do but what Apple want it to do instead. It’s one way traffic only. Most people call that - a TOY!
Though this blog link is mostly about a law practice, it can be equated to any business, and the last paragraph (edited) says it all.
“So here’s a challenge, read this post, envision my practice, and tell me how the iPad will significantly change how I practice my [insert your own business here]”?
Very worrying “one sided” Developer Agreement/Contract by Apple Inc. that within certain commonwealth countries the contract could be held to be voidable in not totally unenforceable ie: “ticket rule” per sect 10.4, for just one of many many examples. Other’s I can see from first glance are coercive clauses, not to mention a few highly questionable “unconscionably” clauses (under Australian Law).
